No, this event is for advisors who have registered and received a confirmation e-mail from Fidelity.

All education sessions will take place at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, which is located at 39 Smithe Street, Vancouver, BC, V6B 0R3. Our event will be held in the Parq Grand Ballroom.

In keeping with our efforts to support the green initiative, your digital ticket will be sent one week prior to event day to the email address you registered with. Please be ready to scan it from your mobile device on-site the day of the event on May 30, 2024.

To qualify for CE credits for the in-person event, you are required to sign in by scanning your digital ticket at our onsite kiosks and scanning out when you leave. Digital tickets will be sent one week ahead of the event.

Fidelity will apply for CE credits immediately following the event, and once we have received approval from the applicable regulatory bodies, CE certificates will be emailed directly to eligible attendees. Any applicable CE credits will be assigned retroactively and will be emailed to you in approximately six to eight weeks. We will submit event content to the following regulatory bodies for review:

• Institute for Advanced Financial Education (IAFE)
• Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO)
      o Investment Dealer Division
      o Mutual Fund Dealer Division
• Chambre de la sécurité financière (CSF)*
• Institute of Financial Planning*
• Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA)
• Alberta Insurance Council (AIC)
• FP Canada™
• Insurance Council of Manitoba (ICM)
• Insurance Councils of Saskatchewan (ICS)*
• Insurance Council of British Columbia (ICBC)

*Continuing education regulations in Quebec and Saskatchewan require that sessions which are submitted for accreditation must be at least one hour in length. Accordingly, Fidelity will apply for credits for certain sessions together (e.g., two consecutive portfolio manager presentations). In these cases, advisors from Quebec or Saskatchewan must attend both sessions to receive the credit.

The suggested attire for the duration of the conference is smart casual.

Please feel free to dress in a manner that is appropriate and most comfortable for you.

Yes, Fidelity Investments is happy to support the green initiative effort by going paperless. A QR code will be available on-site the day of the event to access all event-related materials.

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi will be offered in the meeting room at Parq Vancouver.

No, National Instrument 81-105, Mutual Fund Sales Practices, does not permit Fidelity Investments to pay for or provide transportation for attendees to and from an event. (This includes the payment of a car rental fee, parking expenses and any gas or mileage in relation to a car used by an attendee during the conference.) If applicable, you will need to make and pay for your own arrangements for airport transfer via your preference (taxi, car rental, airport shuttle, etc.).

Pay parking is available at Parq Vancouver and is in effect at all times. Please be sure to remember your license plate to register your vehicle and pay for parking.

You will need to make and pay for your own accommodations. National Instrument 81-105, Mutual Fund Sales Practices, does not permit Fidelity Investments to pay for or provide accommodations for event attendees.

Fidelity is committed to proactively researching and implementing eco-friendly alternatives to help improve sustainability at our events. A few ways we achieve this include the following:

  • Where possible, we book venues that are designated as Green Lodging Destinations. Please see the Marriott International sustainability and green practices here.
  • We are a paperless conference. A QR code will be available on-site the day of the event to access the presentations and other event-related materials.
  • Any on-site signage Fidelity uses is 100% recyclable.
  • We encourage you to bring your own re-usable water bottle to refill at our water stations.
  • Where possible we use biodegradable packaging for any applicable items.

Our event will be live-streamed via Zoom. Confirmation emails for each day of the event will be sent to the email address you registered with. Please note: the Zoom app is not required if viewing via a browser on a desktop computer.

This event supports closed captioning in multiple languages, including English, Canadian French and Chinese.
